A Review of the EVA Air Infinity Lounge in Taipei: Is It Worth a Visit?

Overview of the EVA Air Infinity Lounge

The EVA Air Infinity Lounge at Taoyuan International Airport in Taipei welcomes business class passengers and travelers flying with airlines in the Star Alliance. However, compared to the exceptional in-flight service of EVA Air, some travelers might find this lounge a bit disappointing.

Location and Opening Hours

The lounge is located on the second floor of Terminal 2, close to the security checkpoints. It opens daily from 4:30 AM to 11:30 PM. Finding the lounge can be a bit tricky, especially if you're transferring from other flights, so keep an eye out for signage.

Amenities and Seating Space

Upon entering the lounge, you'll notice a spacious seating area to your right, with additional amenities like restrooms and a dining area to your left. The space was quite busy when I arrived at 6 PM, but it began to clear out as more EVA flights departed.

I managed to find a comfortable window seat. Although there was no natural light, I could work efficiently while overlooking the check-in area.

Food and Beverages

The lounge features a generous buffet with a variety of hot and cold dishes, including both Western and Asian cuisine. Dinner options included:

• Stir-fried chicken with oyster mushrooms
• Pork stir-fry with vegetables
• Fusilli pasta with German sausage sauce
• Other stir-fried dishes and snacks
• Fresh salads and sweet pastries
• Self-serve Häagen-Dazs ice cream in various flavors

Beverages include soft drinks, juices, tea, coffee, beer, and wine, all available for self-service. I tried a flat white and some chilled strawberry juice, both of which were delightful.

Restroom and Shower Facilities

The lounge has four private shower rooms equipped with amenities, but unfortunately, all were occupied during my visit. The restrooms were also crowded, so I managed to snap just one photo of a Toto toilet with a bidet.

Conclusion

Overall, this lounge isn't my favorite and might leave many feeling unimpressed, especially when compared to the in-flight experience of EVA Air. However, with a diverse selection of food and drinks, it still serves as a decent place to work before your flight. If possible, consider visiting the nearby Singapore Airlines lounge, which offers more amenities.
